What to Expect
The MotoGP Grand Prix of Australia attracts large crowds throughout the race weekend, particularly during qualifying sessions and the main race. As a mobility device user, you can expect a busy and energetic environment with loud motorcycle engines, crowds, queues and visitors moving between viewing areas, food outlets and entertainment spaces.
The event takes place across the large outdoor Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with a combination of grandstands, general admission areas and event facilities. Pathways and surfaces may include sealed roads, paved areas, grass and uneven ground, with some sections involving slopes or longer distances between attractions.
As much of the event takes place outdoors, Phillip Island’s coastal weather can be unpredictable. Preparing for wind, rain, sun exposure and changing temperatures is recommended.
Accessible viewing areas, amenities and parking arrangements are available at designated locations, although access and facilities may vary depending on your ticket type and viewing area. Event staff can assist with directions and accessibility information where required.
This Visual Story will help you understand the layout of the circuit and prepare for navigating the event at your own pace.
