Pride's Jenny Stevens gets up close and personal with Wade the wombat.

Find your new best friend at The Funky Farm

Pride Mobility Products is committed to giving back to the community in many different ways. That’s why we’re proud to support The Funky Farm – Australia’s funkiest boutique wildlife sanctuary.

Situated on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula, visitors can get up close and personal with their favourite native animal in a safe and inclusive environment.

From cuddly koalas and a family of wombats, to an assortment of reptiles that includes a monster saltwater crocodile named Crikey, the farm’s 200+ inhabitants are lovingly cared for by an expert team of professionals led by founders Chris and Sammy.

“We offer personalised interactive tours, during which guests have an opportunity to hold, touch, smell, and learn about nature. Everyone is welcome and no challenge is too great,” states Chris.

Aided by daughter Ziva, the duo has spent the past 13 years transforming their 10-acre property into the country’s first (and only) animal sanctuary purpose-built to cater for those with special needs. Paths have been widened to accommodate mobility devices and a heavy-duty all-terrain vehicle is on-hand to transport visitors around the park in comfort.

It’s this dedication to creating an accessible space that inspired Pride Mobility to reach out explains Warren Tripp, Managing Director, Pride Mobility Products Australia.

“Pride believes the greatest gift a company can give to its community is to have an active role in maintaining a high-quality of life for everyone who lives there. We’re especially honoured to be part of The Funky Farm’s vision.”

With the weather warming up, do yourself a favour and pay The Funky Farm a visit – you’re guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face. Trading hours vary as the sanctuary runs via appointment only, so be sure to check before making plans.
